International Radio Festival gears up for third edition
Taking place in Zurich from 12th to 16th September 2012, the International Radio Festival (IRF) is the first and only event of its kind, bringing together more than 100 ground-breaking music radio shows from around the world and offering those tuned-in the rare opportunity to “Listen to how the World Sounds”.
The International Radio Festival (IRF) is the world’s first industry conference and public event to celebrate the world’s most consumed and most influential medium, Music Radio. Taking place in Zurich from 12th to 16th September, the event’s third edition offers the music radio industry a unique platform to network, share knowledge, exchange formats, and explore audience preferences, whilst engaging with both a qualitative music business audience and a quantitative consumer audience at the same time, amounting to a reach of billions of listeners worldwide.
Since being founded in 2010, the IRF has brought together more than 100 ground-breaking music radio shows from around the world, enabling their makers the unique opportunity to showcase their best music radio programmes in the presence of their peers and industry professionals, as well as “live On-Air” to the general public visiting the Festival, to their listeners back home, and online around the world, offering those tuned-in the rare opportunity to “Listen to how the World Sounds”.
This year the IRF are pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Greater Media, Inc, which will see the event simulcast across three major Greater Media US markets; Boston, Detroit and Philadelphia. The festival will be heard on 96.9-HD2 in Boston, 105.1-HD2 in Detroit, and 93.3-HD2 in Philadelphia reaching an even bigger global audience in only its third year.
The festival will feature three studios in Zurich: the famous Schloss Sihlberg Villa for the day programs; the official IRF hotel Four Points Sihlcity Sheraton for the morning breakfast show and the Cabaret Club for the evening, featuring club music formats.
