Again the IRF celebrated the world’s most consumed medium – music radio – and those behind the microphone enjoying the trust of many millions of listeners who love radio!
The IRF in 2014 featured over 180 different radio shows whilst broadcasting 456 hours of radio over 19 days from more than 21 different countries and regions spanning all four continents – all live-on-air from Zurich’s infamous Kaufleuten.

The 5th edition of the IRF once again united radio stations from around the world and showcased some of the best music programmes and formats available today, broadcasting them LIVE ON-AIR on FM across Zurich, Online around the world, and on the participating guest radio stations back home. Special for 2015 was the incorporation of the SwissRadioDay attended by over 400 delegates form the Swiss radio industry, joined by the IRF’s overseas guests. This prestigious event was also attended by Roger de Weck Director General of the SRG/SRF (Swiss Broadcasting Authority) and Marc Savary, Philippe Zhano Walter Herger and Jürg Bachmann board members of the SRD.

And no IRF ends without its parties, which in this 5th edition took place three times starting with Sonica at Zurich’s best kept secret Zukunft, followed with DJ Premier and KissFM Berlin at IRF’s home Kaufleuten, coming to an end with XFM’s Propaganda night.
