In the mid 1980’s Herbert ended up on board of the offshore pirate radio vessel from Radio Caroline in the North Sea, from where he continued his clandestine broadcasting activities. At the end of the 1980’s, legal loopholes made it possible to use broadcast licenses from other EU-countries to broadcast Dutch language programming onto Dutch cable networks, and the first Dutch language commercial radio station, Radio 10, entered the Dutch broadcasting market. From day one; Herbert was working for Radio 10 as a news broadcaster. Today Radio 10 is one of the oldest remaining commercial radio stations of the Netherlands and, based in Naarden, reaches 1.5 million unique listeners a week all over the country. We are very happy to welcome one of Europe's true radio legends in Milan.
