Maarten Brouwer founder of Ghetto Radio
After years of entrepreneurship in the media and music industry, in 2007 he decided to assist his Kenyan friends from ghetto areas in setting up a radio station in Nairobi. It drives him professionally in the urban African music scene, resulting in the pan-African brand and label ‘This Is Africa’. By 2012 the Kenyan radio station is commercially viable and performs best social attachments. ‘This Is Africa’ hosts two separate pan-African radio streams and are to set up a new FM radio station in Accra Ghana end 2012.
